Biography
Diana M. Malave is an associate in the law firm of Paykin Krieg & Adams, LLP. Ms. Malave focuses on commercial litigation.
Ms. Malave has successfully defended actions for breach of contract, conversion, constructive trust, and unjust enrichment. Ms. Malave has also drafted papers that resulted in a decision vacating a federal judge that was improperly entered against an intervening defendant.
Prior to joining Paykin Krieg & Adams, LLP, Ms. Malave worked for the Honorable Leonard B. Austin, Associate Justice of the Appellate Division, Second Department as part of a Hofstra Law Post-Graduate Judicial Fellowship. She has also interned for the Honorable Rachel A. Adams and the Honorable Marsha L. Steinhardt.
While attending law school Ms. Malave participated in the Disaster Recovery Clinic where she assisted individuals impacted by Superstorm Sandy. In such capacity, she reviewed contracts and settled disputes with insurance companies and contractors, as well as assisted with applications for public benefits and appealed adverse benefit decisions. Ms. Malave also interned at the Safe Center LI, where she assisted victims of domestic abuse with matrimonial and family law matters.
A 2012 graduate of Hofstra University, Ms. Malave received her J.D./M.B.A. from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law and Frank G. Zarb School of Business at Hofstra University in 2016. Ms. Malave is admitted to the practice of law in the courts of the State of New York and the United States District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
