Charles D. Krieg

Charles Krieg leads the estate administration and litigation department at our firm. He advises executors, administrators and trustees on their fiduciary duties. Additionally, Mr. Krieg represents fiduciaries and beneficiaries in will contests, fiduciary removal actions, accounting matters and other probate proceedings. He also provides sophisticated estate planning services to minimize liability and tax burdens. These services include drafting wills, revocable trusts, irrevocable trusts, life insurance trusts, Medicaid trusts, living wills, health care proxies and powers of attorney.
A skilled commercial litigator, Mr. Krieg has extensive experience in appellate cases. His unparalleled experience includes creditors' rights matters. He has successfully pierced and reverse-pierced the corporate veil. He has invalidated the assignment of lottery proceeds. He has obtained findings of civil contempt and has obtained turnover and installment payment orders. He has garnished and levied funds. Many of these achievements are documented in reported decisions. Mr. Krieg's proficiency in creditors' rights gives him a unique perspective. He can also assist clients in protecting their assets.
In 1987, Mr. Krieg graduated from New York University. His major was mechanical engineering. Later, in 1993, he earned his Juris Doctor degree from St. John's University School of Law.
Mr. Krieg is licensed to practice law in the State of New York and the United States District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
