Biography

Diana M. Malave is an associate at the prestigious law firm Paykin Krieg & Adams, LLP. With a sharp focus on commercial litigation, Ms. Malave brings her experience and knowledge to the table.

Ms. Malave has won cases involving breach of contract, conversion, constructive trust and unjust enrichment. Additionally, she has prepared legal documents that led to the reversal of a federal judge's improper ruling against an intervening defendant.

Ms. Malave has previous experience working for the Honorable Leonard B. Austin, Associate Justice of the Appellate Division, Second Department. This was during her time as part of a Hofstra Law Post-Graduate Judicial Fellowship. Additionally, she has interned for the Honorable Rachel A. Adams and the Honorable Marsha L. Steinhardt.

During law school, Ms. Malave worked in the Disaster Recovery Clinic. She helped people affected by Superstorm Sandy by reviewing contracts and resolving conflicts with insurance companies and contractors. She also aided in applying for public benefits and appealing unfavorable decisions. Additionally, she interned at the Safe Center LI, where she supported victims of domestic abuse with legal matters related to marriage and family.

Ms. Malave graduated from Hofstra University in 2012. In 2016, she obtained her J.D./M.B.A. from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law and Frank G. Zarb School of Business at Hofstra University. She is now licensed to practice law in New York and the United States District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
